Validating the EEXI score reduction with a ShaPoLi solution
The revised MARPOL Annex VI will enter into force and existing ships must comply with IMO’s Energy Efficiency Existing Ship Index (EEXI). Datum Electronics has developed a shaft power limitation (SHaPoLi) EEXI Shaft Power Acquisition Module. The EEXI module is integrated with a Shaft Power Meter, to provide a verified shaft power data signal to the propulsion control system to limit the engine power. It is a non-intrusive solution to the engine and acts as a monitoring tool that automatically produces voyage reports providing the most convenient way to evidence EEXI compliance in the most sustainable way. Key benefits include:

  • Does not limit the vessel operational capabilities

  • User friendly interface

  • Seamless integration with existing shaft power meter systems

  • Automated EEXI report generation
